Abin Sur was a member of the Green Lantern Corps from the planet Ungara. He was the Green Lantern of sector 2814 and the predecessor of Hal Jordan.
Biography[]
Justice League: The New Frontier[]
Abin Sur arrived on Earth to fight the centre, but the destruction of the rocket that was supposedly sent to Mars, badly wounded Abin Sur and he plummeted down to Earth.
When Hal Jordan's plane crashes in a desert valley, he meets the dying Abin Sur who tells him about the Green Lantern Corps. Before Abin Sur died, he gave Hal Jordan his Green Lantern ring.
