Adrian Chase is an enthusiastic and sadistic restaurant busboy who operates by night as the ruthless crimefighter known as Vigilante. He also admires Peacemaker, having known him in high school and looked up to him as his best friend.

Peak of human physical condition: Adrian is in incredible physical form, with his conditioning allowing him to fight the extremely seasoned and trained martial artist Judomaster on equal footing. He is also strong enough to easily pin down the likes of the large and physically imposing prison inmates who were bulkier than him. Adrian also withstood a severe torture from "Royland Goff", surviving a close-range explosion from a grenade and a shot in the back.
Master hand-to-hand combatant/Martial artist: Adrian is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, as he was not only able to fight on par against to fight the master martial artist Judomaster along with Peacemaker, but was even able to outlast Peacemaker before he was defeated. He knew Boxing, Muay Thai, Jujitsu, Krav Maga, Judo, Taekwondo and Karate.
Master knife wielder/Knife thrower: Adrian is highly skilled at using knives while fighting crime. He also accurately threw one at a Butterfly-infected host without even looking behind him.
Master marksman: Adrian is highly proficient in the use of firearms, like the Walther P99, Walther PPQ Q5 Match, Colt Single Action Army, MasterPiece Arms MPA30DMG, FN P90, Mossberg 500 Cruiser, and the Barrett M82A1M.
Swordsmanship: Adrian is highly skilled in the art of swordsmanship, often using his sword-fighting skills during combat.
Archery: Adrian is a highly capable archer, although he seems to prefer throwing knives and/or using guns.
Stealth: Adrian was able to to follow Peacemaker and his team without being noticed, and spy on them without being sensed. They only sensed him after he revealed himself.

Adrian Chase is a foolish sociopath, willing to kill any lawbreaker regardless of the severity of their crime. About the character, James Gunn stated; a guy who dresses up in a costume, and goes around and kills people he says are doing something wrong ... he's a sociopath, but he's got this sort of sweet aspect to him.
