Alexander Joseph "Lex" Luthor, Sr was the owner of LexCorp.
Biography[]
Alexander Luthor, Sr was born and raised in East Germany. He immigrated to the United States to "live the American dream", according to his son. He came to the US with "nothing but grit and ferocity", and was able to build LexCorp, an "empire of oil and machinery."

- In the comics, Lex Luthor's father was first named Jules Luthor in Superman's Girl Friend, Lois Lane #23 (1961). The most well-known version of the character, Lionel Luthor, first appeared in the Smallville TV series but was later introduced into the comics.
