Alura In-Ze was Kara Zor-El's mother.
Biography[]
Superman: Unbound[]
On Krypton, Alura and her family were visiting their friends in Kandor when Brainiac's robots attacked. Alura, Zor-El and Kara fled the city with Ak-Var's help but he got left behind and trapped as Brainiac collected the city in a bottle.
Alura and Zor-El started to look into Brainiac in an attempt to locate him and free their friends but were forced to send Kara to Earth and flee Krypton as well to escape its destruction.
Alura was later captured by Brainiac and added to the specimens in the Bottle City of Kandor for years. Superman, Alura's nephew, went to stop Brainiac but ended up inside the bottle too where he met his Aunt and Uncle. They watched as Superman escaped the city and were rescued with the rest of Kandor when Superman fled Brainiac's Skull Ship with it.
After Brainiac's defeat, Kandor was restored to its full size on a new planet under a red sun and Alura was reunited with her daughter.
