Atlanteans are a race of people from the planet Earth, they live in the underwater world of Atlantis; despite their human appearance, Atlanteans have evolved to the point where they have superhuman physical attributes, can breathe on both land/in the water and can telepathically communicate or understand marine animals.
Powers and abilities
Powers
- Atlantean Physiology: Despite their similarities to normal humans, Atlanteans have various inhuman feats; such as superhuman strength, speed, durability, leaping, agility, senses, etc., making them extremely powerful superhumans; especially when they are exposed to water.
- Superhuman Strength: All Atlanteans are known to possess tremendous levels of superhuman strength, however, high-born Atlanteans are much stronger then common Atlanteans; there strength also rivals that of most Old Gods or New Gods.
- Superhuman Durability: All Atlanteans are known to possess tremendous levels of superhuman durability, as they are able to withstand immense underwater pressures at over 21000 feet below sea level; however, high-born Atlanteans' skin, muscle and bone tissue, are much denser then common Atlanteans.
- Superhuman Leaping: All Aquaman can leap much further than normal humans; however, high-born Atlanteans leap much further than common Atlanteans.
- Superhuman Speed: All Atlanteans are known to possess tremendous levels of superhuman speed, however, high-born Atlanteans are much faster then common Atlanteans.
- Superhuman Agility: All Atlanteans are known to possess far more agility than normal humans; however, high-born Atlanteans are much more agile then common Atlanteans.
- Superhuman Reflexes: Aquaman possesses far more reflexes than normal humans; however, high-born Atlanteans' reflexes are superior to common Atlanteans.
- Telepathy: Most Atlanteans can telepathically communicate with most forms of marine life. However, this ability is not common among Atlanteans; as only Arthur Curry and the late Atlan possess the ability to communicate with marine life.
- Aquatic Respiration: All Atlanteans can breathe underwater; however, only high-born Atlanteans can breathe both on land and in the water.
- Hydrokinesis: Some Atlanteans can manipulate water.
