The Atlanteans are those who reside on the underwater continent and belong to the nation of Atlantis. Millennia ago, Atlanteans were all surface-dwelling humans until the continent sank. By necessity, they used science and sorcery to adapt to life beneath the waves.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox[]
In the Flashpoint timeline, the Atlanteans forged a short lived alliance with the Amazons. Queen Mera died at the hands of Queen Diana after she saw her husband King Orin and Queen Diana having an affair. The Atlanteans urged their king to declare war. The European coast was decimated. Any ships that got too close fell victim to the Atlanteans, including the Ravager. Aquaman led a his army through the English Channel for a surface invasion of New Themyscira. Apparently they were all killed in the final battle against the Amazons.
