Barbara Gordon was the daughter of Police Commissioner Gordon who later became the vigilante known as Batgirl.

Batgirl observed Batman and his allies launch their chase and fired her own grappling gun to join the Bat-family in pursuit of The Penguin.

Justice League Dark: Apokolips War[]
Two years after Darkseid's successful invasion, Batgirl and several other survivors of the Bat Team have been found to have survived the fiasco. Batgirl, Batwoman, and Batwing are tasked by Lois Lane to deactivate and destroy one of Darkseid's core draining towers that have recently been implanted onto Earth.
They manage to deactivate their assigned tower near the coast but are ambushed by Darkseid's Parademons who were guarding the tower. After losing both Batwing and Batwoman to the Parademons, Batgirl and one of the members of the Justice League Dark do their best to survive as long as possible.
Batgirl is seen on a section of the tower fighting off several Paradooms who have now entered the battle in replace of the Parademons. She manages to kill several Paradooms with her gadgets and her spear but then a Paradoom flies from behind where she can't see it and pushes her head down to the ground. Several more Paradooms fly in and begin to eat Batgirl alive, with one of them ripping out her arm.
After Darkseid was defeated, Flash erased the timeline. Batgirl's fate along with everyone else in the New-52 is currently unknown.
