The Dark Knight Rises is a 2012 film and the conclusion to Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy.
- Anne Hathaway makes a decent portrayal of Catwoman.
- Pretty good ending that successfully wraps up the story arc. for Bruce Wayne started in Batman Begins.
- The movie is so long that it feels like it should have been two films.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns is a 2012 - 2013 film set based on Frank Miller's classic The Dark Knight Returns. It is one of the only film adaptations to be better than the source material.
- It has some marked improvements over its source material:
- Dr. Wolper's death is much less gruesome.
- Abner's dolls never speak and say criggle-worthy lines.
- The Batman/Selina Kyle scene is much more romantic and intimate.
- It tones down of Joker's homoerotic comments during the Battle in the Tunnel of Love.
- The battle between Batman and Superman is longer and better written.
- The dialogue is more realistic.
- Batman's rescue of Kevin Ridley is just as touching as in the book.
- Great voice acting.

As many have noticed for some odd reason people keep thinking the Batman is not a reboot and is still connected to justice league and stuff, let me explain why this is not the case:
Firstly none of the original cast are returning, and in some cases they look nothing like their DCEU counterparts which really all but confirms this is a reboot.
Ben Affleck also stated that this film would be stand-alone before dropping out, and now the fact that Batman has been recast the connections to the greater DC Universe are small as stated by a producer on the film.
Additionally all the characters are a lot younger than their DCEU counterparts and it just doesn’t fit the timeline of the DCEU.
Evidence for it being a reboot and not DCEU: https://ew.com/movi…
Let's take a moment to imagine: if there were any idea for a crossover film, animated or not, between Marvel & DC, what story would you want it to be based on & what characters (from both sides) would you want to be in it?
The reason why I wrote this is because I decided to ask Doomlurker for some help any time I like. So, all I want help with is any kinds of pages. But first, here's a list of Nolanverse pages that they have the same ones on headings with "To be added":
- Adam West as Batman
- Michael Keaton as Batman
- Val Kilmer as Batman
- George Clooney as Batman

- Ben Affleck as Batman

Will she be a pure evil villain like in the comics or a tragic villain/hero like in the 2003 show?
I'm going for the later despite the film being more closer to the book. The director said Terra's story is tragic but it was never portrayed like that in the comic so that's why I think it's the latter.
However, I do believe she will have her non redemption death from the comics.
Well, it's Comic Con time once again, and of course that normally means loads of huge announcements and brand new trailers.
This year is no exception, and one of the biggies to drop was this brand new trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice! Check it out, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
Don't forget to follow Wikia's LIVE coverage of this year's events as they unfold via our on-site team currently braving the crowds at the convention center as we speak!
the DC Cinematic Universe won't be called by that name, it's now called the DC Extended Universe.
Hey Wikia Superfans! Are you going to San Diego Comic-Con this year? Wikia is going to have a big presence at the convention this year, and we want as many Wikia users involved as possible. Last year I got to be part of the Wikia Fan Express and we got all sorts of perks like sneak peaks and access to products that hadn't been released to the public yet. That's not even counting the awesome swag (like a pirate, not a trendy youth) and cool prizes!
I know there's going to be a big DC Entertainment presence at the con this year, so we're hoping to see you fans turning out. Wikia is giving out collectibles, VIP perks, and party tickets to Wikia users who show up this year. It's going to be sweet. You will also get access to our massive scaveng…
Hello, DC Movies Wiki, this is Concernedalien11780, aka Neil Rush. I am a major fan of both DC comics and their film adaptations. My favorites are the original 1978 Superman and the Richard Donner version of the sequel, the 1989 Batman film, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. There are many others I want to call some of my favorites, but those are the only ones I have seen in their entirety. I definitely cannot wait for the Suicide Squad film in 2016 because a true film depiction of Harley Quinn will be amazing, if done right. Now that Harley Quinn is essentially DC's Deadpool, I definitely want there to be more of her in the mainstream. I'm not sure if Suicide Squad will be PG-13 or R. You'd think that…
This is just an idea for a Justice League reboot, if Warner Bros ever needs one (probably not). This is totally fan-made, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
A reimagining of the infamous DC superhero franchise, the film centers on six different young adults, most are struggling with their own adversities and some even having superhuman powers, who share a common destiny.
Clark Kent is the new guy working at Metropolis' Daily Planet who hides his identity as an alien with unique and dangerous powers (including flight, invulnerability, heat vision and superhuman strength). Bruce Wayne is a billionaire and businessman of Wayne Enterprises with an ambition to rid his home of Gotham City of chaos, crime and anarchy, as a vigilante after his parents'…
There needs to be more females in the JL movies! Lois only ever gets one line, provided she shows up, Iris is MIA, and the rest of the boys don't have steady girlfriends. I'd even be down for catwoman. + She's awesome in her own right.
And all the women that do show up, like above, are all one of the hero's girlfriends. Yeah, I get it's a boys club, & it's about the main group, but it's a bit of a sausage fest.
Even lil cameos! (More of the female heroes i'm talking about here.) Yeah, GA's not in the group yet, but Black Canary's face can still be shown, or Supergirl. Even in female audience based movies, males play an prominent role.

Wouldn't be great to be in charge of laying out the DC cinematic universe. It'd be dream come true for me so heres how I believed the DCCU movie layout should've went. Sorry if it's really bad. This is MY OPINION SO PLEASE DON'T HATE ME!

I have been OK with the recent casting choices in Zack Snyder's DCCU. But I would cast my own DCCU differently. THIS IS PURELY FANMADE! I'd love to know you're thoughts!

- 2 Jaimie Alexander as
- 2.1 Alternate Casting: Sharni Vinson as Wonder Woman
- 3 Charlie Hunnam as Aquaman

- 9 Idris Elba as Martian Manhunter
- 10 Jason Momoa as Shazam
- 11 Sam Worthington and Rosamund Pike as Hawkman and Hawkgirl
So far, the casting of Batman and Superman are the only two casting I would agree with. I thought Henry Cavill was a great MODERN Superman, and I'd love for Ben Affleck…
I have not been too happy with the casting choices DC has been making for their upcoming films, such as: Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jessie Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and I'm especially enraged by Ezra Miller as The Flash. Sadly I can't do anything about it so I'm making a list of the Actors and Actresses who I believe should play our beloved heroes. Some of my choices may be similar to choices others have had or they maybe comepletely out of nowhere so don't hate. So If you have an opinion on my ideas please leave a mature comment and not one that tries to put me down. Lets stop wasting time and get started This is my Justice League Fancast.
If I'm casting the entire league, it only makes sense that I start with the man of steel himself. First up…

This is my idea for a Wonder Woman and Aquaman team-up film. The film is part of my DCCU, which you can find in my blog posts page. This is a good idea in my opinion, you can share your thoughts too!
Diana Prince and Arthur Curry are rough crime-fighting partners/"acquintances" who have no idea of their backgrounds or how they got their powers. Both have the power of super-strength, while Arthur can also adapt to water environments and talk to animals. Arthur, as a loner, has the most trouble fitting in with regular people alongside Diana, since he knows people think he is a joke because of his "mermaid-like" powers, especially since his father died recently. Arthur knows that he has a background to do with the ocean, while Diana is still u…
This is simply how I would have done my DCCU, THIS IS PURELY FANMADE! I'm fine with Zack Snyder's DCCU, but I would have liked it if it were like this, IN MY OPINION! I'll get into more detail with each of the the films another time. I'd love for you to share your thoughts.

Well, after 3 episodes of Gotham. I can personally say that I have some likes and dislikes.
One is like is: Bruce Wayne. I get that he lost his parents, wanting to conquer fear, and help not just the city but the orphans as well. But, I'm not liking that he wanted to jump off the roof of his house or burn himself.
One like: Young Catwoman. Talk about wanting to help, she is not only centered wher Bruce Waynes parents were killed. But she knows how to get out of a jam.

You have seen 3 characters (Liam Neeson, James Badge Dale and Frank Grillo) take on the roles of supervilains.
Liam Neeson played John Ottoway in the movie, and played Ra's al Ghul in The Dark Knight Trilogy.
James Badge Dale played Luke Wewenden in the movie, and played Eric Savin, Aldrich Killian's bodyguard in the final chapter, Iron Man 3.
Frank Grillo played John Diaz in the movie, and he is set to play Brock Rumlow/Crossbones in the upcoming sequel, Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
And so I ask, what villain roles do you think Dermot Mulroney, Dallas Roberts, Joe Anderson, Nonso Anozie, Jacob Blair and Ben Bray will play
I was just wondering, why don't we have pages for the TV Series Arrow? I mean, we have pages for Smallville, (I mean its close enough to a TV show, right?), but why not Arrow? Someone explain this to me please...
With the announcement of Ben Affleck in Batman Vs Superman and the rumours of David Tennant being eyed for the role of Plastic Man in the (hopefully) upcoming Justice League film I thought I'd write a blog on who is rumoured to be appearing in the film and at the end I'll write a little bit about who I think should be in the team roster for this film.

This one's pretty much a no-brainer. The Man of Steel (no matter how much i disliked it) was a financial success and David S Goyer has stated that this film is intended to be the first step into a larger universe. I would assume that the studio is going to get Cavill ba…
Well, as I'm sure most of you know and if you don't it's reported here, Ben Affleck has been cast a Batman in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel.
Batman's appearance in the highly anticipated sequel raises the question of whether the Caped Crusader's hometown of Gotham City is set to appear. With the production officially starting in February 2014, Warner Bros. is scouting for locations in which to shoot the film and have reportedly found their new Gotham City in Detroit, Michigan.
The production company have also reportedly been scouting Morocco but as of yet there's no word on why the production would be shooting there.
Of course, with the film's inclusion of Gotham, it's not unreasonable to assume that some of Batman's supporting cast will…
Ever since the sequel to Man of Steel was confirmed to feature the debut of the DC Extended Universe's Batman the rumor mill started churning out countless potential castings of actors Warner Bros. were supposedly looking at to fill the role but today that all changed with the announcement that Zack Snyder has cast his Bruce Wayne.
Warner Bros.' President of Creative Development and Worldwide Production Greg Silverman made the announcement, stating that "We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some. His outstanding career is a testament to his talent and we know he and Zack will bring new dimension to the duality of this chara…
Hey! So I am a much bigger DC fan than a Marvel fan, and all the Avengers and Iron Man and Marvel success has gotten me jealous, so I've been thinking of ways to "improve" the DC film universe and introduce a Justice League Movie :D Please comment below...
Okay, so, I'll start with the story:
Lex Luthor, Vandal Savage, Circe, and Sinestro have all teamed up and become a Secret Society/Legion Of Doom sort of thing. They serve under Darkseid, hoping to bring him to Earth and rule with him. However, they must first take out Earth's only hope- it's superheroes. With their vast resources, they bring together Amazo, an android capable of copying superpowers; Lobo, an extremely strong bounty hunter; Prometheus, a genius powered by a cybernetic suit…
What do we all think should be the next DC movie to come after the clearly-going-to-be-successful Man of Steel movie? Everyone has different opinions on the matter, and I think we can all agree that we would all like to see our Justice League movie somewhere down the line. So what should come next? Man of Steel II? A World's Finest movie? Justice League? Or more solo DC films like Wonder Woman or The Flash? I'll discuss these options...
Man of Steel II - Man of Steel is going to be a smash-hit at the box office, I can guarantee you that. I work at at movie theatre, and every moviegoer I've asked is extremely excited about Man of Steel. Because it will be successful, there will of course be a sequel. I believe Man of Steel II will use Lex Luthor as the villian…

But i wanted to try to become i fan of DC.
Much i like my dad who read DC and Marvel
Since I finally finished both my Justice League movie Poster and Trailer, I have been going over various ideas as to how to tell the story of this film. There's not a film that I want to see more than a Justice League film, and of course I want to see this film done right. With that said, below is my plot for the Justice League movie. It's set in continuity with Green Lantern and some of the older DC Comics movies/TV shows. I've included various influences, including Justice League: The Animated Series, Justice League: The New Frontier and The Justice League New 52 run.
Note: I know the climactic duel sounds a lot like the one in the Avengers and it was not intended to be that way. The original plot had Darkseid which is why I used port…
We all know a Batman reboot is going to happen, whether we want it to or not. Nolan is done with Batman so if there isn’t a reboot that means we never get to see Batman on the big screen again, it’s a tough choice but I’d rather see another Batman film within a DC Cinematic Universe than just have his character be ignored completely from now on. So this is my story idea for how I would do it if I was writing the reboot.
The films starts in complete darkness, there are flashes of Bruce's parents being shot, Bruce training, the Joker laughing, the Joker standing over Robin's corpse, Batman carrying Jason's limp body in his arms. While these flashes are seen, we hear someone repeatedly saying Bruce. Then we see Bruce sitting in front of the Ba…
