Bruno was the leader of the Brunos, one of the street gangs made up of former Mutants after the Mutant Leader was defeated by Batman.
Biography[]
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2[]
Don and Rob were holding up a liquor store, now a part of the Brunos an offshoot of disbanded Mutants. They let their guard down and the store owner pulled a gun on them. Bruno, their new leader, stepped in but was interrupted by Batman, disguised as an old woman. Don approached the old woman and held a gun to her head, Batman smashed a bottle over Don's head knocking him unconscious. Bruno continued to fight until Batman got the upperhand and dispatched Rob too, she then fled the liquor store.
Bruno tried to escape through an alleyway but a rock, slingshotted by Robin, hit her in the temple. Enraged she began to shoot at and chase Robin to an abandoned building. Inside, Batman confronted her and tried to get information about the Joker's plans. Bruno threw grenades and blew holes in the floor and fell into the basement. Superman interrupted Bruno and Batman's fight and secured Bruno to the wall with some bent metal pipes. Batman punched her in the head knocking her unconscious.
