The Brunos were a criminal street gang made up of former Mutants who decided to follow Bruno.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2[]
Don and Rob were holding up a liquor store, now a part of the Brunos an offshoot of disbanded Mutants. They let their guard down and the store owner pulled a gun on them. Bruno, their new leader, stepped in but was interrupted by Batman, disguised as an old woman. Don approached the old woman and held a gun to her head, Batman smashed a bottle over Don's head knocking him unconscious. He dispatched Rob too and chased Bruno who attempted to flee.
