Solomon Grundy, or his real name Cyrus Gold is a zombie supervillain of Batman that mainly operates in Gotham City.
Biography[]
Batman: The Long Halloween, Part One and Two[]
His depiction is greatly similar to that of the comic, although with several differences. On Thanksgiving, Grundy tries to kill Chinese mobster Mickey Chen for trespassing into the sewers, but Batman talks him down; later leaving Grundy a Thanksgiving dinner. When a disfigured Harvey Dent ends up in the sewers, he and Grundy manage to form a friendship, with Dent inspired by Grundy to become "reborn", removing his bandages and embracing a new persona. Grundy later helps Dent attack the prison convoy transporting Sal Maroni and free the supervillain inmates at Arkham Asylum. Grundy participates in the attack on Carmine Falcone's building, and, during the final battle, is knocked out by an overdose of Scarecrow's fear gas.
