DC League of Super-Pets is an upcoming animated movie that focuses on the pets of the heroes and villains.


Superman's dog, Krypto, forms a crime-fighting team of super-powered pets in order to save the Justice League.


Production History

In July 2018, Jared Stern was hired to write and direct an animated DC Super Pets film. In January 2019, it was announced that Sam Levine would serve as co-director with Stern, and that Patricia Hicks had signed on as producer.

In May 2021, it was announced that Dwayne Johnson will star as the voice of Krypto the Superdog, with other A-list actors in negotiations to co-star. In addition to starring in the film, he, alongside Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia, and Stern will be joining Hicks as producers; while John Requa, Glenn Ficarra and Nicholas Stoller set to serve as executive producers.

In June 2021, the rest of the cast was later announced, with Hart to voice Ace the Bat-Hound in said film included. The following week, Jameela Jamil joined the film.

  • Superman's suit in this film is inspired by his Kingdom Come incarnation.
  • This is the first theatrical film to feature Jessica Cruz.
  • The "Batman Teaser" features the theme from the Tim Burton Batman films composed by Danny Elfman. During the trailer, Batman, while listing the people he works with, mentions "whoever Morgan Freeman played", a reference to The Dark Knight Trilogy, where Morgan Freeman played Lucius Fox.
