Nathaniel Adams is the superhero known as Captain Atom. In the distorted Flashpoint timeline, Captain Atom had gone alone to end the conflict between Atlantis and the Amazons. Later on, it is revealed that he has, in fact, been captured and is the source of power for Aquaman's doomsday device.

In the distorted Flashpoint timeline, Captain Atom had gone alone to end the conflict between Atlantis and the Amazons. He was captured and used as the source of power for Aquaman's doomsday device that had sunk most of western Europe. Later, Aquaman activated the doomsday device detonating and seemingly killing Captain Atom.
