Biography[]
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1[]
Harvey Dent was a patient in Arkham Home for the Emotionally Troubled where he was rehabilitated by Dr. Bartholomew Wolper and Dr. Herbert Willing who treated his psyche and disfigurements respectively. After the plastic surgery, Wolper and Willing unwound a bandage from Harvey's face and showed him the result. Harvey held a press conference asking for a second chance and then disappeared.
Harvey turned back to crime, he hired a gang to rob a bank and then planned on blowing up the Gotham Life Building. He aired a broadcast demanding a ransom, his face wrapped in bandages. His actual plan was to be on the tower when it blew up and killing himself. Batman intervened and Two-Face and his goons flew away in a helicopter. Batman pulled Harvey from it and saved him from falling to his death. Speaking to Harvey he realised how unhinged he still was, thinking that the facial recovery was done to humiliate him. He claimed that he couldn't be fixed, a sentiment that Batman agreed with.
