Henry Ackerson was a reporter at the Daily Planet who was impersonated by Metallo as a trap for Superman.
Biography[]
Justice League: Doom[]
Metallo posed as Henry Ackerson and stood atop the Daily Planet building preparing to jump, making it look like a suicide attempt. Amongst the onlookers were Jimmy Olsen and Lois Lane, Jimmy recognized Ackerson and Lois called Clark Kent to alert him to the situation. Clark changed into Superman and tried to talk to who he believed to be Ackerson down off the ledge. Ackerson threatened to shoot himself in the head, but then shot Superman with a kryptonite bullet. He revealed himself to be Metallo, believing himself triumphant over the Man of Steel.
