Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1[]
Mr. Hudson was in a Liquor Store when James Gordon came in to do some shopping. They had a friendly exchange and Mr. Hudson left the shop with a crate full of bottles. As he left, he was hit over the head with the butt of a gun by a member of the Mutants and was knocked unconscious to the ground.
