Biography[]
Justice League: Gods and Monsters[]
Jor-El, during the final moments of Krypton, prepared to submit his genetic code to the Incubator Pod, that he had prepared to carry the offspring of his and his wife's child. But, after storming his lab, General Zod interrupts the proceeding and implants his own DNA onto the child, effectively making the child his own heir. The pod receded into a space ship and was launched just before the planet imploded, leaving Jor-El and the rest to die on their ill fated planet.
