Kara Zor-El, also known as Supergirl, was the cousin of Kal-El, who was sent to Earth after the destruction of Krypton, being captured in an old base in Siberia until being saved by Flash, his alternate version and Batman. After recovering her powers, Kara decided to confront Dru-Zod alone until seeing how innocent soldiers were killed, so she allied with them to fight Zod and his army.
