Superman: Doomsday[]
After being apprehended by a genetic duplicate of Superman engineered by Lex Luthor after Superman's apparent death against the bioengineered monster known as Doomsday, Winslow Schott escaped from his arrest and held up the daycare Katy Alpert was attending. Schott murdered Albert for unknown reasons and was returned to police custody. However, Schott's actions drove the Superman clone to take matters into his own hands and kill Schott in retaliation. Albert's death was the catalyst in drawing out the Superman clone's more ruthless side.
