Lara Lor-Van was a scientist on Krypton who opposed Zod.
Biography[]
Justice League: Gods and Monsters[]
Lara, during the final moments of Krypton, submitted her genetic code to an Incubator Pod, that prepared to carry the offspring of her child. Her Husband, Jor-El, was initially supposed to implant his own DNA onto the child, but General Zod interrupts the proceeding. Realizing that their planet is doomed, Zod implants his own DNA onto the child, much to the disgust of Lara, effectively making her child the son of Zod. The pod receded into a space ship and was launched just before the planet imploded, leaving Lara and the rest to die on their ill fated planet.
