Peacemaker is an Max series based on the character of the same name. The first season was part of the DC Extended Universe and focused on Peacemaker following the events of The Suicide Squad. The second season is set in the DC Universe but most of the events of the first series, with the exception of the appearance of the Justice League, are considered canon despite being part of the old universe. The first season aired on January 13, 2022 on HBO Max. The second series will air on August 21, 2025.

In September 2020, James Gunn announced that a spin-off television series centered on Peacemaker was in development for HBO Max that he would produce with Peter Safran and have John Cena reprising his role.
