The Sons of the Batman were a vigilante street gang made up of former Mutants who decided to follow Batman's example and fight criminals.

History[]

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 1[]

After the defeat of the Mutant Leader at the hands of Batman, some of the Mutants splintered from the main group and formed the Sons of the Batman, fighting crime in the name of Batman.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2[]

The Sons of the Batman declared that the city belonged to Batman and took a violent approach to crime. They killed a known drug dealer creating unease with their presence.

During the blackout caused by the nuclear explosion, the Sons of the Batman had planned on taking control of the city until they were interrupted by Batman. He recruited them to his cause, demanding they help him maintain peace in Gotham whilst the power was out. They followed his lead and interrupted the conflict between the escaped Mutants and the general public subduing the brawl.

Bruce and Oliver Queen lead the Sons of the Batman underground where they established a new base where Bruce would train them in his ways.
