Vera Lynn Black was the younger sister of Manchester Black and a member of the British Secret Service.
Biography[]
Superman vs. The Elite[]
Vera Lynn Black's mother died giving birth to her leaving Vera and her brothers to be reaised by their drunkard father. Eventually only Manchester and Vera remained. To survive they had to pickpocket and eventually got tracked down by the police. Vera tried to protect Chester but fell in front of an oncoming train. Manchester used his newly developed metahuman abilities to stop the train in its tracks and save his sister.
Manchester and Vera were recruited into the MI5 where Chester grew more and more powerful and eventually banded with other metahumans to form The Elite and left the British Secret Service. Vera gave Lois Lane dossiers on the Elite so that she and Superman could assess the Elite's abilities and weaknesses and use them to stop the team.
